Mission:BRAIN, Philippines

Mission:BRAIN (Bridging Resources and Advancing International Neurosurgery) is a nonprofit organization with the goal of providing neurosurgical expertise and resources to patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare providers in underserved areas throughout the world.

Mission:BRAIN recently partnered with the Dept. of Neurosurgery at the Philippine General Hospital (the largest public hospital in the country) and conducted a fourth neurosurgical mission in Manilla during early Feb. 2014.

Founded in 2011 by Drs. Michael Lawton (UCSF Neurosurgery) and Alfredo Quiñones-Hinojosa (Johns Hopkins Neurosurgery), Mission:BRAIN is comprised of neurosurgeons, medical device suppliers, surgical nurses, and other volunteers from across the U.S.
